omprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a locally registered NGO first
established in
1994. It is the largest indigenous provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. CCBRT aims to
empower people with disabilities and their families, improve their quality of life, and ensure access to medical and
rehabili
tative treatment. Committed to preventing disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive
maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities and is currently constructing a Maternity and Newborn Hospital

Communication
s department
we are looking for
a
c
reative Communications Officer
with
an
interest in
maternal and newborn health
(MH)
.
Duties include:
Develop
ment of
a 2
-
year CCBRT MH marketing &
communications plan for the 2016
-
2018 period, aligned with the
overall CCBRT communications strategy
Design and implement
ation of
marketing strategies and materials targeted at prospective MH service users and
referring facilities
Oversee
ing
the developme
nt and execution of awareness raising events
, managing
websites and all other digital
channels
Writing
monthly progress reports
Develop
ment of
information materials for prospective service users/patients, their families and communities
Act
ing
as a liaison
to external vendors including design, advertising and printing companies/consultants
Providing
communications support to other MH related activities, including but not limited to report writing,
collecting case studies, photography and event organisation
P
roofread
ing
, edit
ing
and input
ting
into other MH reports and materials
Providing
support to the overall CCBRT communications team, Programme Development and Kupona Foundation
Qualifications/Experience
:
Degree in
marketing, communications, PR or related
field
At least 3 years of experience
in marketing, communications or Public Relations
Must have worked in healthcare related settings, preferably Maternal & Newborn Healthcare
Proven track record in developing content for diverse mediums
Proven ability to
effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Kiswahili and English
Personal qualities:
Excellent interpersonal
skills
Talent to work with multiple stakeholders (internal/external) and intercultural teams
Able to deliver quality on time (working with short deadlines)
